Mall of Switzerland

The visitors of the new cinema complex on the grounds of the Mall of Switzerland in Ebikon (Canton of Lucerne) are already surprised before entering the cinema complex.

Cinema experience does not start at the cash register, but already at the look of a facede which is like a theater curtain waving around the building. The development and production of the facade is the result of the experience and creativity of employees at the Eternit factory in Switzerland.

The anthracite multiplex cinema is an optical counterpoint to the brilliant white of the shopping center, in its immediate vicinity. The vision of the team of architects - creating a façade that clings to the building like a flowing fabric - was brought to life with the help of Eternit Switzerland. The company developed and produced about 3000 m2 corrugated sheets, which give the outer shell with its irregular wave height a unique shape. This geometry completely converts the classic corrugated sheet into a completely new material. The result is fantastic. The irregular shape of the waves looks rhythmic and it is almost expected that the curtain will open and the cinema spectacle will begin.
